HONG KONG — An exhibition featuring innovative projects by six local designers, artists, and community innovators opened at the Hong Kong Design Centre’s DX Design Hub on Wednesday.

Titled “Everyday Plus”, the exhibition transforms everyday objects — such as plastic baskets and aluminum cans — into unique design pieces, revealing their hidden "added value".

Highlights include a custom-built electric vehicle repurposed from old classroom desks and a giant interactive installation named “Overhead Knot”.

By promoting upcycling and inspiring creativity, “Everyday Plus” celebrates the inventive potential of Hong Kong’s vibrant community, according to the organizer.

The event will run until Aug 31.
