A rare shift in the job market at a garment village in Guangzhou, the capital city of South China's Guangdong province, has sparked heated discussion as the textile industry experiences a surge in both recruitment and production.

Every morning, hundreds of bosses queue up early to recruit workers, holding sample garments and making on-site offers.

Skilled workers can find jobs with a monthly salary of over 10,000 yuan (about $1,447), as factories race to fulfill orders after the holiday season.
