May Fourth flag-raising ceremony held in Wan Chai

A flag-raising ceremony was held on Sunday morning in Wan Chai to commemorate the May Fourth Movement and the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War victory.

Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan Kwok-ki and Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Liu Guangyuan attended the ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square together with other HKSAR and central government officials.

The event, organized by the Committeee of Youth Activities, was also attended by around 1,200 students.
