Xi holds talks with Malaysian PM

KUALA LUMPUR – President Xi Jinping held talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim here on Wednesday.

Saying that the China-Malaysia relationship is ushering in a new golden era, the Chinese leader told the Malaysian PM that he is ready to work with Anwar to boost the high-level strategic development of the China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

Xi said he will work with Anwar to contribute further to regional prosperity and stability.

The Chinese president arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday for a state visit to Malaysia in the second leg of his three-nation Southeast Asia tour.
