Kyrgyz PM removed from post

BISHKEK - Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov has been dismissed from his post due to a transfer to another position, the presidential administration said on Monday.

First Deputy Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev has been appointed as acting prime minister. His nomination needs to be approved by the parliament.

Japarov has worked as prime minister since October 2021.
