Hong Kong’s Olympians wrapped up their performances in Paris this week, securing a haul of four medals — two gold and two bronze.

Their triumphs were witnessed and celebrated with fervent enthusiasm at home, as public facilities and shopping centers across the city were transformed into impromptu celebration venues, hosting an unprecedented number of live broadcasts and spirited advertisements.

China Daily photographer Adam Lam captures a visual ode to joy and pride sweeping through Hong Kong this summer.
