Ukrainian president signs legislation extending martial law, mobilization

KIEV - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the legislation to extend the current martial law and general military mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days, the parliament press service reported Wednesday.

The two restrictive measures, due to expire on Sunday, were prolonged until Nov 9.

The parliament endorsed the bills on extending martial law and mobilization on July 23.

The Ukrainian parliament imposed martial law and declared mobilization in February 2022 in the wake of the conflict with Russia.
