HONG KONG - Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu presented honors and awards to 379 people during the 2023 Honours and Awards Presentation Ceremony at Government House on Saturday.
Among the recipients, five received the Grand Bauhinia Medal, the city’s highest award, according to a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government statement.
Two individuals received the Medal for Bravery (Silver), 15 received the Distinguished Service Medal for the disciplined services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), and 39 received the Bronze Bauhinia Star
They included Executive Council and Legislative Council member Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, who was recognized for his outstanding public service and dedication in promoting trade and industry in Hong Kong.

Poon Chung-kwong was awarded for promoting the development of higher education in the city.
President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China Timothy Fok Tsun-ting was honored for his significant contributions to Hong Kong’s sports development.
Lam Shuk-yee was given her award for her efforts in fostering harmonious labor relations and safeguarding the interests of workers.
Meanwhile, Sze Chi-ching was recognized for his long and distinguished record of public service and for enhancing cultural exchange between the SAR and the Chinese mainland.

Nine people received the Gold Bauhinia Star and 27 received the Silver Bauhinia Star, according to the statement.
Two individuals received the Medal for Bravery (Silver), 15 received the Distinguished Service Medal for the disciplined services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), and 39 received the Bronze Bauhinia Star.
Three people received the Medal for Bravery (Bronze), 42 received the Meritorious Service Medal for the disciplined services and the ICAC, 86 received the Medal of Honour, 68 received the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service, and 83 received the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Government/Public Service.
