The Lo Pan Private Temple in Kennedy Town came alive with festivities on Tuesday, as Hong Kong celebrates its first Lo Pan Festival to pay homage to the Chinese patron god of craftsmen and architects.

Besides having a giant art installation in front of the temple, a series of activities will be held during the festival to enhance public awareness of the construction industry and encourage young people to consider joining the sector.

Lo pan, who lived between 507 and 444 BC, is considered a legendary carpenter, engineer, and inventor for his unparalleled skills and contributions to society.
