HONG KONG - Thousands of professional runners and marathon enthusiasts got off the mark at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2023 as a honk pierced the dawn on Sunday.

The much-anticipated annual track event came back to the city and has attracted 37,000 runners from Hong Kong and overseas. It represented “a welcome return to normalcy with the community,” said the organizer.
