HONG KONG - After nearly three years of construction, the Castle of Magical Dreams replaced the Sleeping Beauty Castle as the new centerpiece of Hong Kong Disneyland, as the theme park marked its 15th anniversary on Friday.

The old castle has been redesigned to pay tribute to 13 Disney princesses and queens, namely Snow White, Rapunzel, Tiana, Aurora, Merida, Anna, Elsa, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, and Moana.

The Castle of Magical Dreams features towers and spires embracing iconic patterns, textures, colors and ornamentation unique to each of the 13 stories.

To mark the opening of the new castle, the resort opened an exhibition themed Building a Dream: The Magic Behind a Disney Castle, showcasing the castle’s transformation from concept to completion and introducing the park's upcoming entertainment offerings.

Visitors took photos with their friends and families while enjoying shows and parades on the castle's debut.
