Hong Kong stocks close 0.53% lower

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks closed down 131.59 points, or 0.53 percent, to 24,787.19 points on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 24,602.11 and 24,872.52. Turnover totaled HK$130.52 billion (about US$16.84 billion).
