SINGAPORE - The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) announced the last and latest world rankings on Thursday as all events and activities had been put in a halt during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month, the sport's world governing body said the rankings will be frozen until competitions resume, given the current global outbreak of the coronavirus.
Chinese star paddler Fan Zhendong replaced compatriot Xu Xin to top the ITTF men's singles table, while Chen Meng continued her reign as the women's world No. 1 in the latest standings

With the ranking points corresponding to events in March being taken into consideration, Chinese star paddler Fan Zhendong replaced compatriot Xu Xin to top the ITTF men's singles table, while Chen Meng continued her reign as the women's world No. 1 in the latest standings.
Both Fan and Chen were crowned at last month's 2020 ITTF World Tour Platinum Qatar Open in their respective singles competitions.

Meanwhile, Japan's Mima Ito shot up to the second place in the women's singles list after taking the Hungarian Open crown in between reaching the German Open semifinals and the Qatar Open final.
Ma Long maintained his spot in the men's top three after he reached only the round of 16 at the Qatar Open, losing to the prodigious Chinese talent Wang Chuqin.
