NEW DELHI - In the ongoing Asian Wrestling Championships 2020, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Japan and India on Saturday each bagged one gold medal in the men's free style format.
The tournament is being played in three categories Greco-Roman, women's wrestling and men's freestyle
The host country -- India -- won gold in 57 kg category and three silvers in 97 kg, 79 kg and 65 kg.
Iran won gold in 97 kg category, silver in 70 kg and two bronze medals in 65 kg and 79 kg categories.
Japan also ended up winning one gold in 65 kg category and two bronze in 79 kg and 57 kg categories.
Kyrgyzstan won gold in 79 kg category and two bronze medals in 70 kg and 57 kg category.
Uzbekistan bagged gold in 70 kg category.

Kazakhstan won three bronze medals in 65 kg, 70 kg and 97 kg categories.
Likewise, Tajikistan won silver in 57 kg and bronze in 97 kg categories.
The championship is underway at the KD Jadhav Wrestling Stadium in New Delhi, the capital city of India.
The tournament is being played in three categories Greco-Roman, women's wrestling and men's freestyle.
Over a dozen countries and regions participated in the championship, officials said.
The championship has been classified as a ranking tournament for the Tokyo Olympics by the United World Wrestling UWW -- the global governing body of the sport.
India last hosted the championship in 2017.
