HONG KONG – As businesses move from AI experimentation to large-scale deployment, legal professionals are increasingly focused on turning technology into measurable business value. Against this backdrop, the inaugural LexisNexis Asia Legal AI Summit 2026 will take place in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The event will bring together legal professionals, law firm leaders, general counsel, regulators, and AI experts to explore how the sector can adopt and scale AI with confidence.
Through case studies, executive insights and regional perspectives, attendees will examine how generative AI is transforming legal workflows, enhancing law firm profitability and navigating evolving regulatory and litigation risks.
Heritage on parade
Foshan will transform into an intangible cultural heritage carnival this autumn as an intangible cultural heritage festival will take place from Friday to Monday.
The event features four main activities — parades, autumn sacrifice rite, drinking rite and an intangible cultural heritage exhibition – along with a series of extended experiences.
To be staged on the evening of Friday and Saturday, the two parades will run approximately 3.3 kilometers and feature about 38 performances and 17 floats. Fixed performances at the main venue will last about 80 minutes, while the total duration of each parade will be around 150 minutes.
At the heritage exhibition, visitors can try intangible cultural heritage delicacies or try their hand on traditional crafts while watching heritage inheritors give live demonstrations up close.
Macao trade exhibitions
Three major international trade exhibitions are running concurrently in Macao through Saturday, covering investment, products and services from Portuguese-speaking countries, and international franchising, with about 2,500 exhibitors and buyers from 30 countries and regions.
The 31st Macao International Trade and Investment Fair, the Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) and the Macao Franchise Expo span 30,000 square meters of area, featuring tech innovation, health and wellness, trade and investment, agriculture, cross-border e-commerce and professional services sectors and intellectual property brands.
The exhibitions also use Macao’s language advantages to expand trade networks in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets. In particular, MIF has added a Spanish-speaking countries industry pavilion, drawing nearly 30 companies and institutions from 11 Spanish-speaking countries.
Lighting fair
The 35th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair is running from Thursday to Sunday in Zhongshan, drawing more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 34,000 registered visitors, including more than 5,400 from 126 overseas countries and regions.
The event, one of the lighting industry’s most prestigious trade fair domestically and internationally, will feature seven themed halls this year showcasing the industry’s latest applications across product categories, including lighting systems controlled by large artificial intelligence models, health lighting, age-friendly products and environmental applications such as photovoltaic energy storage.
Five themed exchange sessions will gather lighting and e-commerce stakeholders to discuss industry trends, channel development, niche applications and cross-border expansion.
Business-matching sessions for overseas markets, such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe and the Americas, and Africa, will also be held.
