HONG KONG – BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited (BOC Life) announced Thursday a new collaboration with Deloitte Private to support high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families in cross-generational wealth succession planning, regulatory compliance and long-term wealth management advisory.

The partnership was officially launched at a signing ceremony attended by Wilson Tang, chief executive of BOC Life, and Allen Wong, Hong Kong business managing partner of Deloitte China.

Alfred Cheung, deputy chief executive and chief sales officer of BOC Life, and Anthony Lau, Hong Kong leader of Deloitte Private and Hong Kong tax & business advisory leader of Deloitte China, signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of their respective organizations.

As part of the collaboration, BOC Life and Deloitte Private will jointly publish a booklet titled “Wealth That Shines Across Generations.”

The publication will explore key challenges faced by HNW families in wealth succession, covering three core pillars: challenges in cross-generational wealth succession, the new normal in tax and compliance, and strategic asset allocation.

Against the backdrop of shifting global compliance reporting standards such as the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), the booklet will also provide general information on building resilient and compliant assets, using tools such as life insurance to evolve from “accumulating wealth” to “managing wealth.”

“With HNW customers seeking increasingly sophisticated asset management and legacy planning, cross-sector expert collaboration has become pivotal. BOC Life continues to proactively expand its footprint in the HNW market as a trusted life partner. We are delighted to collaborate with Deloitte, bringing together BOC Life’s strengths in wealth protection and Deloitte’s deep expertise in taxation and family office advisory,” said Tang, BOC Life’s chief executive.

“As Hong Kong solidifies its position as the world’s largest cross-boundary wealth management center, we have seen rising demand for integrated wealth management among HNW individuals, especially in intergenerational succession and compliance,” said Edward Au, southern region managing partner of Deloitte China.

“Through this collaboration with BOC Life, our goal is to help clients preserve and transfer wealth securely across generations, while reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as an international asset and wealth management center,” he added.
