HK woman held on suspicion of murder after fatal fight in Aberdeen

A woman was arrested on suspicion of murder in Aberdeen, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on Wednesday night after a brawl with another woman who later died.

At 10:31 pm, police received a report that the two women, aged 50 and 53, were fighting at a public light bus stop near Wah Chui House, Wah Fu (II) Estate. Officers sped to the scene and found the 53-year-old lying on the ground, having sustained head injuries.

She was taken to Queen Mary Hospital in an unconscious state and was pronounced dead at 11:22 pm.

An initial investigation found the victim had a dispute with the 50-year-old woman and they pushed each other. The deceased was believed to have been pushed to the ground. 

A post-mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

The 50-year-old is being detained for further enquiries as part of an active investigation by the district crime squad of Western District.
