Over 300 students from 20 schools in Hong Kong participated in an open class covering topics such as space exploration, traditional Chinese medicine, artifact protection, artificial intelligence and future energies, featuring seven distinguished national experts on Monday.

Kevin Choi, permanent secretary for Innovation, Technology, and Industry, spoke at the event's opening. He highlighted that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is currently experiencing a "golden age" of innovation and technology development. The SAR government is striving to transform Hong Kong into an international hub for innovation and technology. Under the "one country, two systems" framework, Hong Kong's unique position, supported by the Chinese mainland and connected to the world, offers an exceptionally wide path for the younger generation.

This event, part of the Master Classes for Youth series, was launched by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation to enhance national education and foster patriotic awareness among young people across the country.

The four-day program, which started on Monday, will continue through Thursday in Hong Kong and also in Macao.
