The manufacturing industry used to play a key role in Hong Kong’s development. Factory workers toiled away day and night to create an array of products, such as textiles, plastics, toys, clocks and more. With the city’s economic transformation and the exodus of production bases, factories fell into disuse. Some of these buildings still survive, while others have been revitalized with a new look.
