SHANGHAI – Leading Hong Kong real estate developer Henderson Land Development Co hosted a dinner in Shanghai on Feb 3 to unveil its new Hong Kong flagship project, Central Yards.

Designed as a core hub for culture, commerce, and community at Central Harbourfront, Central Yards incorporates Hong Kong’s most comprehensive green smart building innovations.

Based on the concept of a “bridge”, the development will feature the largest Grade-A office area in the Central financial district, along with 12 open green areas and event venues, including a 1,100-seat Broadway-style theater.

A rare elevated garden, approximately 300 meters long and covering 150,000 square meters, will serve as the first green landmark in Central.

The project’s retail space, designed as a unique “city within a city”, will offer over 270,000 square meters in its first phase and integrate indoor and outdoor waterfront promenades.

Speaking at the event, Lee Ka-shing, chairman of Henderson Development Ltd, hailed the company’s roots in Hong Kong and its commitment to the community.
“From brick by brick to one ideal home after another, we have always held the same belief: the future of a city depends not only on the height of its construction, but more on whether it can be people-oriented, inspire dreams, and connect the world,” Lee said. “Central Yards is not just a development project in Central and Victoria Harbour; it carries our deep affection for the country and the Hong Kong region.”
