Party secretaries from China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and five Vietnamese provinces and cities gathered in Nanning on Wednesday to deepen regional cooperation.

The Vietnamese delegation came from Quang Ninh Province, Lang Son Province, Cao Bang Province, Tuyen Quang Province, and Hai Phong City.

At the meeting, Chen Gang, Party secretary of Guangxi, highlighted the long-standing ties between the autonomous region and its Vietnamese neighbors, saying their development is closely linked through geography, trade, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides agreed to build on the traditional friendship by increasing cooperation in connectivity, trade, and cultural exchanges. Shared infrastructure and cross-border projects stood out as opportunities.
