
MOSCOW - Russia's armed forces destroyed the Ukrainian Air Force's Vostok (East) command post in a precise strike, the state-owned RIA Novosti news agency reported on Monday.
"The Vostok air command post of the Ukrainian Air Force has been destroyed by a precision strike." And the eliminated unit had been critical for maintaining seamless command over all forces in the Vostok group, the report said, citing a security source.

Senior Lieutenant Maksym Maliuzhenko, a radio center subgroup chief at the information and telecommunications node under the command post, was killed in the Russian strike, according to Ukrainian media reports.
The death of a Ukrainian specialist with such a profile confirms that the command post was hit, according to the RIA Novosti report.
