
Hong Kong para-athlete Yam Kwok-fan claimed her second silver medal at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, finishing second in the women’s T36 200m final on Wednesday afternoon.
Crossing the finish line in 32.83 seconds, Yam placed behind Paralympian Shi Yiting of Hunan. Another Hong Kong athlete, Yu Chun-lai, finished fifth in 38.50 seconds.
With this achievement, Yam concluded her participation in the Games with two silver medals, having also secured second place in the women’s T36 100m event on Tuesday.

The Games are currently being held across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and will run until Dec 15.
The Hong Kong SAR is hosting four events: boccia, wheelchair fencing, table tennis (Class TT11), and a Special Olympics table tennis round. The Macao SAR is hosting the badminton competitions.
