The autumn session of the 32nd Guangzhou Garden Expo opened on Thursday, turning the heart of Zhujiang New Town into a floral wonderland that will captivate visitors until mid-December.
The 38 large-scale floral displays are primarily installed across key locations, including Huacheng Square, Ersha Island, Haixinsha Island, and along the adjacent Pearl River waterfront.
This year's exhibition showcases innovative floral artistry from multiple sources: cities within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), various districts of Guangzhou, and international floral art masters.

Among the standout displays is the "Dark Night Flower Room" (暗夜花房), featuring flowers that naturally glow in the dark.
"The plants exhibited in the hall do not rely on external electricity. They all glow through their own biological mechanisms, not only recreating an Avatar-like fantasy but also demonstrating the boundless potential of future green lighting," said Su Kexian, a researcher from Guangdong Sanjie Forage Biotechnology Co Ltd.
Kicking off the city's festive activities leading up to the 15th National Games, the flower show continues through Dec 15.
For visitors, taking the metro is a great option, with multiple lines connecting to the venue, including Lines 3, 6, 12, and the APM.
