The Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, a recognized national intangible cultural heritage, was held on Sunday and will continue through Tuesday in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The 67-meter fire dragon, adorned with more than 10,000 burning incense sticks, was paraded by over 300 performers, accompanied by a smaller LED dragon carried by children. This tradition, a celebration for peace and safety, showcases a cherished and time-honored custom in Hong Kong.
This year, the fire dragon will be paraded in Victoria Park on Monday, as night falls on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
China Daily's Adam Lam captured the moments on Sunday.
