Gaza’s catastrophes point to Israeli aggression over humanity with US patting
By Mehmood Ul Hassan Khan

Shockingly, the most recently published report of the World Food Program (WFP) summarized and quantified the ongoing human agonies, miseries and helplessness in Gaza where people are facing acute hunger, 93 percent of households in Gaza had no access to water and more than 87 percent of the area are under evacuation orders or inside Israeli military zones, leaving 2.1 million civilians crammed into a small area with no medical care or medicine, where public services have completely collapsed. Hence immediate ceasefire should be the mantra of every country.

The world’s leading authority on food crises—the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC)—has officially declared a full-blown, phase 5 “catastrophic” famine in the Gaza governorate, including Gaza City. A joint statement by all United Nations Security Council (UNSC) members on Wednesday, except the United States, have demanded immediate Gaza ceasefire and end of famine and other catastrophes imposed by Israeli attacks.

Unfortunately, Gaza has now become the biggest jail on this planet showing ongoing and unstoppable state terrorism and naked cruelty of the Israeli government and its armed forces continuously violating even basic injunctions of human rights to civilian Palestinians badly suffering from hunger, disease, proper medication, clean drinking water and shelter.

Furthermore, the killing of about 62,000 people in Palestine, including at least 18,430 children, hundreds of medical staff, aid workers and journalists, since October 2023 showed the naked dance of the Israeli administration and its armed forces indiscriminately murdering people in Gaza. A number of international organizations have pointed out Israeli weaponization of hunger and food distribution points, where people are repeatedly shot dead before they can even receive a bag of flour.

It seems that Israel now has the license and backing of the US hawkish politicians to kill and do extrajudicial killings at will every day everywhere in Gaza. Thus Palestinians are facing the brunt of double standards of the West, the so-called civilized nations of earth for stopping and intervening Israel to stop its inhumane activities.

It is evident that Washington has lost its grip on the Middle East and holy alliance especially with Israel which has become a deadly monster assassinating common people, weak factions of the Palestine society, elderly people, women and of course innocent children every day thus seriously committing crimes against humanity and conducting a genocidal campaign in Gaza.

Ironically, US and Israeli covert consensus for complete evacuation of Palestinians, the real owners of the land from Gaza and most recent Israeli government's approval of a plan of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the military to take control of Gaza City have reconfirmed glimpses of their hidden agenda which seems to be extension of Ibrahim Accord and complete extradition of local people from their homes, lands and belongings.

Moreover, the Israeli Prime Minister’s secret talks to many countries for the resettlement of displaced Palestinians vividly reflect the expanded “Ring of Siege” in Gaza forcing their natives to leave the land or otherwise lose life.

Recently relayed recording of the former Israel Defense Force’s (IDF) Major General Aharon Haliva on Israel’s Channel 12 which disclosed planning of killing 50,000 Palestinians only reaffirmed Israel’s crime against humanity.

In the near past even US President Donald Trump’s proposal for the US to take over Gaza and create a “Riviera of the Middle East” after resettling Palestinians elsewhere shattered US policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and sparked widespread condemnation.

It produced hue and cry across the Middle East and around the globe. World leaders pledged their continued support for the two-state solution that has formed the basis of Washington’s policy in the region for decades. But Israel, with tacit approval of Washington, has ignored and resisted the rest of the whole world.

The personal request of 600 former senior high officials of Israel praying to Trump to force Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza, plus weekly street protests in Israel, highlighted increasing anxiety and uncertainty among the different factions of its society and government machinery.

Additionally, six former Israeli hostages and the widow of a slain hostage have released a video pleading with President Donald Trump in English to support a comprehensive deal to make peace in Gaza so that the remaining hostages can be freed showing increasing depression even among common Israelis to end ongoing conflict to achieve a truce.

Hopefully, it will ease the humanitarian disaster, create an environment for the two-State solution and ultimately realize the full, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian crisis.

It is worth to remember that the United Nations Special Committee report released in November 2024 rightly judged that Israel’s conduct in Gaza as consistent with the characteristics of genocide. Serious concerns of two Israeli human rights groups accusing Israel of committing sever genocide in Gaza have only verified Israel’s hidden agenda of cultural, economic, political and human genocides.

Permanent ceasefire and ensuring the rapid, large-scale, and safe delivery of humanitarian aid must be the foremost duty of the international community.

Israel's proposal of population relocation and the establishment of a so-called humanitarian city are widely considered as insulting and disgracing to strip Palestinians of their rights and dignity.

It is a good omen that despite the US' constant support for Israel, China, Russia, Pakistan, all the rest of UNSC members and an increasing number of countries across Europe, Asia and Oceania have publicly condemned Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.

It fears that Israel's military plan for Gaza seriously will threaten the foundation of peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and will further promote terrorism in the Middle East.
