Shenzhen sporting goods exports to Europe surges 28.2% in H1

Shenzhen’s exports of sporting goods to Europe surged an impressive 28.2 percent in the first half of 2025, according to Shenzhen Commercial Daily.

The value of sporting goods exports to the European Union reached 1.38 billion yuan in the first six months. Products featuring smart technology and innovative designs were particularly popular.

Shenzhen Waydoo Smart Technology Co Ltd, specialized in water sports hardware, is one of the star performers.

Qiu Sheng, chief of Waydoo’s operations department, said the company’s exports have grown by more than 50 percent this year. Its Flyer eFoils — electric hydrofoil boards that allow riders to "fly" above the water's surface — are best-sellers in Germany and France.

Shenzhen Xidesheng Bicycle Co Ltd has also established a strong presence in the EU market.

Cyclists riding XDS brand bicycles have clinched championships in European races, including the Tour of the Alps and the Tour of Hellas this year, attesting to the performance of XDS bicycles.
