Guangdong-based robot manufacturers secured gold and silver medals at the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games, which concluded in Beijing on Sunday.

Tiangong (天工), developed by an Beijing-based innovation center founded by UBtech Robotics, won gold in the 100-meter race with a time of 21.5 seconds. Notably the only fully autonomous competitor operating without remote control, Tiangong also claimed silver medals in the 1,500 meters, 400 meters, and the 4 x 100 meters relay.

Intelligent manufacturing specialist LY iTech excelled in the industrial competitions. Its Linglong (领珑) model robot won the championship by successfully transporting and placing a 5-kg box onto a multi-layer shelf in 1 minute 13 seconds, 40 percent faster than the runner-up.
