Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.33 percent to 3,609.71 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.64 percent higher at 11,289.41 points.
