Chinese shares higher at midday Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks were higher in the morning session on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.09 percent to 3,506.94 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.87 percent to 10,813.75 points at midday.
