Passengers on Hong Kong’s metro system will be able to travel at half prices on Sunday, including for journeys to and from Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau.

In celebration of "Thank You Day," MTR Corp is offering a 50 percent discount on every fare-paying trip made with Octopus cards on the MTR, Light Rail, and MTR Bus, as well as for trips paid via QR code on the MTR heavy rail network.

Passengers can combine this discount with existing fare promotions, including interchange discounts and the Fare Saver discount.

Additionally, there will be a 25 percent discount on connecting journeys for Monthly Pass holders using Octopus for payment.

It is important to note that the offer does not apply to First Class Premium services on the East Rail Line, Airport Express, or MTR Feeder Bus. Also, the discounts are not available for payments made using contactless bank cards.
