CBA: Shenzhen beats Beijing Ducks, Sichuan ends losing skid

JINAN, China - The Shenzhen Aviators snatched a 94-85 win over the Beijing Ducks, while the Sichuan Blue Whales defeated the Ningbo Rockets 99-83 at home in the 2022-2023 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Tuesday.

Due to the flu, several key players of Beijing were absent from the game including Zeng Fanbo and Li Muhao. Askia Booker and Bai Haotian led a scoring run for Shenzhen, as the team established a 25-13 lead in the first quarter.

Shen Zijie scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds, Jared Sullinger had a double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds for Shenzhen. Fan Ziming had 24 points and nine rebounds for Beijing

Beijing launched counterattacks in the second quarter, with Ty Leaf scoring from both inside and long range, while Shen Zijie stepped forward for Shenzhen.

With the game tied at 38-38 at halftime, both teams remained focused in the second half. Beijing's Fang Shuo performed efficiently, scoring key points. However, in the last minutes of the game, Beijing missed several key shots, while Shenzhen remained consistent until the end.

In the other game on Tuesday, Sichuan ended a six-game losing streak on  home court with a 99-83 victory against Ningbo.
