BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN / MANILA / SINGAPORE / YANGON / KUALA LUMPUR / SEOUL / ISLAMABAD / NEW DELHI - Brunei logged a daily average of 485 new COVID-19 cases in the past week compared to 437 cases per day the week before, an increase of five consecutive weeks, official statistics released on Monday showed.
According to the health ministry's weekly briefing, 41,068 antigen rapid test (ART) results were uploaded to the government platform within one week, with 8.2 percent of them being positive.
Currently, no hospitalized cases are held in the intensive care unit and three cases require oxygen assistance, the health ministry said.
As of Oct 30, 78.6 percent of Brunei's population have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while 10.8 percent have taken the fourth dose.
India
India's daily COVID-19 caseload Tuesday decreased to 1,046, officials said.
According to federal health ministry data released on Tuesday morning, 1,046 new cases of COVID-19 were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the country's total tally to 44,654,638.
With the reporting of fresh cases, India's active caseload currently stands at 17,618.
The country also logged 53 related death during the past 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 529,077 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
Malaysia
Malaysia reported 2,913 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Monday, bringing the national total to 4,902,964, according to the health ministry.
There are seven new imported cases, with 2,906 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry's website showed.
Nine new deaths have been reported, leaving the death toll at 36,475.

Myanmar
Myanmar confirmed 91 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 631,716, according to the Ministry of Health on Monday.
The ministry said in a statement that health authorities tested 8,815 people for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, and the daily positivity rate was 1.03 percent.
The death toll from COVID-19 in the country remained unchanged at 19,482 on Monday as no new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
Pakistan
Pakistan has reported 27 new COVID-19 cases, the country's ministry of health said on Tuesday.
The overall tally of infected people climbed to 1,574,094 across the country with the fresh cases, according to the data released by the ministry.
A total of 30,626 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, with no more deaths reported on Monday, according to the ministry's statistics.

Philippines
The Philippines reported 1,099 new COVID-19 infections on Monday, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,004,465.
The Department of Health (DOH) said the number of active cases dropped to 20,227, while 41 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, bringing the death toll to 64,074.
Metro Manila, the capital region with over 13 million people, tallied 281 new cases.

Singapore
Singapore reported 2,612 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total tally to 2,102,372.
Of the new cases, 305 were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 2,307 through ARTs (antigen rapid test), according to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 289 were local transmissions and 16 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 2,154 local transmissions and 153 imported cases.
Four more deaths from COVID-19 were reported on Monday, taking the total death toll to 1,680.
South Korea
South Korea reported 58,379 new COVID-19 cases as of midnight Monday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 25,615,667, the health authorities said Tuesday.
The daily caseload was up from 18,510 in the previous day and higher than 43,742 tallied a week earlier, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
Among the new cases, 68 were imported from overseas, lifting the total to 69,765.
Thirty-three more deaths were confirmed, leaving the death toll at 29,209. The total fatality rate was 0.11 percent.
