BEIJING - Hebei FC's senior team will assemble on Friday to prepare for the 2022 Chinese Super League campaign, the club announced on Tuesday.

"The senior team of Hebei FC will gather on April 15 to make preparation for the CSL new season," the Langfang-based club said in a statement.

Hebei, which once shelled out for Javier Mascherano and Ezequiel Lavezzi, will operate in the new season on a low budget

The kickoff of the 2022 CSL campaign remains undecided.

Hebei, which once shelled out for Javier Mascherano and Ezequiel Lavezzi, will operate in the new season on a low budget, reportedly reduced from over one thousand million ($157 million) to one hundred million yuan ($15.70 million).

The cash-strapped club managed to see out the last season and staved off relegation amid bankruptcy fears.
