COVID-19: HK begins resuming public services

HONG KONG - Various government departments in Hong Kong started to gradually resume public services on Friday, as the city's latest outbreak of COVID-19 infections subsided.

The government said last week that it aimed to largely resume normal public services from April 21, when social distancing measures start to be relaxed. The government planned to lift most of the curbs within three months, it added.

Some non-emergency or non-essential government services may be resumed at a later time as fighting the pandemic remains its priority, the government said.
