BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04 percent at 3,562.7 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.22 percent higher at 14,810.2 points.

The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 1.18 trillion yuan ($184.7 billion), up from 1.1 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.

The stocks related to COVID-19 testing led the gains, while those related to digital currency and tourism were among the biggest stock losers.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 1 percent to close at 3,503.41 points.
