HONG KONG – Hong Kong reported no new COVID-19 infections on Monday as health authorities reminded residents covered by compulsory testing notices to get tested for the virus.

In a statement, the Centre for Health Protection said the city’s tally of confirmed cases stood at 11,978. A total of 27 cases were reported from July 12 to Sunday and all of them were imported infections, it added.

A total of 30 confirmed patients were being treated as of Monday in nine public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, including one patient in critical condition and another in serious condition, the Hospital Authority said.

The CHP reminded residents of Tang Kung Mansion Kam Din Terrace in Taikoo Shing that they should get tested again for the coronavirus on Tuesday.

Nearly 500 residents underwent compulsory testing but all of them had negative results. However, they were still required to get tested on the third, seventh, 12th, and 19th day after July 20.
