Sponsored by member companies, the HKGCC-administered lucky draw will be held seven times on July 22, Aug 5, Aug 19, Sept 2, Sept 16, Sept 23 and Sept 30. Participants need to register only once to enter all seven rounds.

All Hong Kong residents over 18 years old, including those without permanent residency, are eligible if they have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the time they enter the lucky draw.

Aside from Mercedes C Class cars valued at HK$500,000 each for three winners, the lucky draw prizes also include 500 annual MTR tickets, shopping and dining vouchers, hotel staycation packages, Cathay Pacific business class air tickets and gift sets.

Registration will start on July 2. The registration website www.hkgcc.luckydraw.com will be launched on June 29.

The HKGCC lucky draws are among the many sweeteners offered by the private sectors to overcome vaccine hesitancy in Hong Kong.

So far more than 3.04 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered. Some 26.7 percent of the total population have received the first vaccine dose and 18 percent are fully vaccinated. The government vaccination program is open to all people aged above 12.
