LONDON - Sunday's Manchester derby between Manchester City and Manchester United could well be the moment that ends the race for this season's Premier League title (if it isn't over already).

There will also be drama at Anfield when Liverpool entertain Fulham in a game vital for Liverpool's hopes of qualifying for Europe next season and Fulham's chances of survival

Manchester City go into the game with a 14-point lead over their neighbors and on the back of a record-breaking 21 game winning run, while United travel across town after three consecutive 0-0 draws (one of which was in the Europa League).

Although the league title now looks beyond them, beating City would certainly please United's fans while also giving them a boost ahead of next week's Europa League game against AC Milan and United's recent record of only one defeat in their last six visits to the Ethiad could give them reasons for hope.

Fulham were unlucky to lose 1-0 at home to Tottenham on Thursday, but Liverpool disappointed again as they suffered a fifth consecutive home defeat, losing 1-0 against Chelsea with a display that left coach Jurgen Klopp questioning the effort of some of his players with Mohamed Salah in the spotlight after being substituted with 28 minutes left to play.

Tottenham will look to the form of the rejuvenated Gareth Bale and Harry Kane to add to their run of three consecutive wins when they face Crystal Palace.

Southampton travel to face bottom of the table Sheffield United after losing six of their last seven league games and although the visit to Bramhall Lane may give them the chance to end the slide, they will have to be wary of a rival that beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Wednesday.

Burnley edged another point closer to safety after their 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City in midweek and now entertain Arsenal with the aim of ending a run of four consecutive home draws.

Aston Villa welcome back Jack Grealish when they entertain Wolves in a Midlands derby which is one of the most keenly contested in the league and although neither side is in danger of either going down or qualifying for Europe, this will be one of the most passionate games of the weekend.

A run of just two goals in four games since beating Liverpool and a 1-0 defeat to West Brom during the week means Brighton are still firmly in the middle of a battle against relegation and they face another difficult match when they entertain third place Leicester City.

Leicester have missed midfielder James Maddison in their last two games and will also be without Harvey Barnes and Jonny Evans for a match that could be decided by which side takes its chances better, which may not be good news for Brighton.

Newcastle United face a vital match away to second from bottom West Brom on Sunday with coach Steve Bruce hampered by injuries to forwards Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin, who between them have scored half of his side's goals.

West Brom's home defeat to Everton on Thursday was a blow to their slim survival hopes, but coach Sam Allardyce may fancy his side's chances amid stories of training ground bust ups at one of his former clubs.

Chelsea take on Everton, while West Ham meet Leeds United on Monday in two games that will go a long way to see who qualifies for next season's Champions League.
