Indian, Bangladeshi PMs to hold virtual summit

NEW DELHI - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual summit with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina on Thursday, the Indian external affairs ministry announced on Monday.

Both leaders have remained in touch regularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement by the Indian external affairs ministry

During the summit, the two leaders will hold comprehensive discussions on the entire spectrum of the bilateral relationship, including further strengthening cooperation in the post-COVID-19 era, according to an official statement issued by the ministry.

According to the ministry, the two countries have continued to maintain regular exchanges at the highest level.

Hasina paid an official visit to India in October last year. Both leaders have remained in touch regularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the statement.
