HK reports 1 new imported virus case, zero local infections

HONG KONG - Hong Kong reported one new imported COVID-19 case on Saturday, bringing the city's overall infection tally to 5,059.

The latest case involved a 48-year-old man who has flown to Hong Kong from Bahrain, according to a press release issued by the Centre for Health Protection. He has stayed at Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel at Chek Lap Kok.

It is the sixth day in a row for the city to report a single-digit daily increase in COVID-19 infection.

According to the Hospital Authority, a total of 149 patients are still hospitalized, 11 of them in critical condition.

The total number of related deaths stood at 105.
