Chinese shares close lower Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.29 percent, at 3,274.3 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.96 percent lower at 13,023.43 points.
