CBA: Beijing and Liaoning extend winning streaks

QINGDAO, China - Both the Beijing Ducks and the Liaoning Flying Leopards managed to continue their winning streaks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday.

The Beijing Ducks crushed the Fujian Sturgeons 115-87, marking the team's 10th straight victory

Liaoning moved past the Shanxi Loongs 108-105, extending the winning streak to seven games.

Liaoning center Han Dejun got a game-high 28 points and nine rebounds for his team, He Tianju finished with 24 points, and OJ Mayo contributed 23 points along with 17 rebounds.

The Beijing Ducks crushed the Fujian Sturgeons 115-87, marking the team's 10th straight victory.

Veteran shooter Duan Jiangpeng got a game-high 21 points for Beijing, Chang Lin finished with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Zhai Xiaochuan added 12 points.

Beijing remain in third place at CBA standings, while Liaoning sit on fourth.

The Sichuan Blue Whales knocked down the Bayi Rockets 101-84, snapping a nine-game losing streak.

Sichuan center Li Yuanyu had a game-high 34 points and 16 rebounds.

"We prepared well for this game, and the players concentrated on the game. We got 10 more rebounds than Bayi did, meaning our players went all out on defense," said Sichuan coach Zhou Jinli.

In the other two games on Wednesday, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls smashed the Qingdao Eagles 102-85, the Shandong Heroes defeated the Jiangsu Dragons 90-85.
