QINGDAO - The Beijing Ducks pushed aside the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 78-67 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league while the Liaoning Flying Leopards smashed the Shanghai Sharks 104-87 here on Wednesday.

Bayi Rockets suffered their 13th successive league defeat, losing 94-82 to Qingdao Eagles as both teams played with an all-domestic roster

In a highly intense clash between two former CBA title winners, Xinjiang were limited to 67 points, a new low in franchise history.

Beijing took an early 11-0 lead in the first quarter before Xinjiang scored their first point with Zhou Qi's free throw five minutes after tipoff. Xinjiang managed to cut the deficit with three-pointers and move ahead for the first time in the second quarter.

Both teams exchanged the lead several times, finishing the third quarter with Xinjiang trailing by only one point. A 10-2 run in the final quarter helped Beijing secure the victory.

"We had a very impressive fourth quarter and I am proud of my teammates," said Jeremy Lin, who scored a game-high 22 points for Beijing. "They played well, they defended well and they were truly outstanding."

Zhou Qi had 17 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks for Xinjiang while his teammate Yu Changdong contributed 16 points and nine rebounds.
