LONDON - This weekend's round of games in the Premier League will see Liverpool looking to continue their incredible campaign against an on-form Southampton, while some teams will have new faces in their starting 11 after last minute deals in the transfer window.

Southampton's ex-Liverpool striker Danny Ings will look to cause an upset against his former club and add to his impressive tally of 16 league goals when Southampton visit Anfield on Saturday.

Sunday sees the renewal of a rivalry dating back over a decade between Man City's coach Pep Guardiola and Tottenham's Jose Mourinho

Ings' form has been partly responsible for lifting his side from out of the relegation battle to a position where a place in Europe isn't impossible if they continue their current form. However, Southampton could suffer in defense after losing right back Cedric Soares to Arsenal this week.

Sunday sees the renewal of a rivalry dating back over a decade between Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola and Tottenham's Jose Mourinho.

Guardiola's City will travel to London in second place in the table, but 19 points behind Liverpool and with the title virtually impossible.

City's main task now is to ensure that they are in their best form for the Champions League and the two Cup competitions, and Guaridola has to find a balance between remaining competitive but not burning players out for what matters.

On the other hand, Tottenham are sixth in the table, and have to still show drastic improvement since Mourinho took over at the club.

Meanwhile, Leicester City will entertain Chelsea, with the two teams currently in third and fourth place respectively while still struggling for consistency. Leicester had three wins and three defeats in their last six games, while Chelsea had two wins, two draws and two losses. Much in this game could hang on the outcome of the midfield battle between Leicester's Wilfed Ndidi and Chelsea’s former Leicester midfielder N'golo Kante.

The battle for a place in the Europa League is on at Old Trafford, where Manchester United will take on Wolves, with both sides on 34 points. United will have a morale boost from their win away to Manchester City in midweek and the arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon, but they are still without Marcos Rashford.

Meanwhile, the battle to avoid relegation also comes into sharp focus when Watford play at home to Everton looking to get back to winning ways, after a draw and a defeat from their last two games and the return of Danny Welbeck should help the home side.

Sitting at the bottom of the table, Norwich need three points at Newcastle, who would take a big step towards safety with a home win, while there is a 'six-pointer' as Bournemouth entertain Aston Villa.

Villa got a huge morale boost as they qualified for the Carabao Cup final in midweek, but defeat at the Vitality Stadium would see Bournemouth leapfrog above them and out of the relegation zone.

The David Moyes effect has not been seen at West Ham, who are level on points with Bournemouth, but they could have new signing Jarrod Bowen on the bench for the visit of Brighton, who have slipped towards danger with just two points from a possible 12.

Lastly, Sheffield United are likely to give a debut to new record signing Sander Berge when they visit Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
