2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit opens in HK
The World Internet Conference (WIC) Asia-Pacific Summit kicked off at the HongKong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said that the hosting of the summit demonstrates Hong Kong's unique status under "one country, two systems" and highlights it's influence as an international innovation and technology hub. He noted that Hong Kong ranks high on various global indexes for innovation and technology development. Looking ahead, he added, Hong Kong will continue to consolidate its strengths, better integrate into and serve the national development strategy.
