HONG KONG – Hong Kong Water-Splashing is bringing its annual Thai-style celebration of New Year to PMQ, Central for the first time during the Qingming Festival and Easter holidays.

Set to be held from Friday to Sunday, the event is free for locals and visitors to experience a variety of traditional Thai activities, including Buddha Bathing, Bangkok street food, Thai dance, live music performances, and Thai massage.

Organized by Vita Chan, a second-generation Thai who was born and raised in Hong Kong, Songkran HK has been held for 12 consecutive years to promote Thai culture and bring people from all over the world together to enjoy and celebrate the Thai New Year.

Intelligent robot expo

The Greater Bay Area Intelligent Robot Expo 2026 will take place from April 9 to 11 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

The annual flagship event for the robotics industry is expected to attract over 300 global enterprises, bringing together professional buyers, industry experts, and professionals from across the industrial chain.

Held simultaneously, the 2026 Greater Bay Area Intelligent Robot Industry Summit will run alongside the 14th China Information Technology Expo and the 107th China Electronics Fair.

Canton Fair returns

The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will begin on April 15 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, featuring three phases. The first phase will highlight electronics and home appliances, manufacturing, vehicles and two-wheelers, lighting and electrical products, and hardware.

The fair will span 1.55 million square meters, and set 75,500 exhibition booths, 54 exhibition sections, and 178 specialized zones. Over 30,000 enterprises will be gathered at the event.

For the first time, the fair will introduce AI-powered search, AI note-taking, QR-code business card exchange, and one-click meal ordering, delivering enhanced experiences through innovative services.

Info-tech expo

As the national-level platform for showcasing the latest technologies in the global electronic information industry, the China Information Technology Expo (CITE) is making its 14th return next week, gathering over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 20 segmented thematic exhibition zones.

Running from April 9 to 11 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, CITE 2026, themed “Technology Leading, Innovation Gathering in Shenzhen”, will hold over 50 summits, forums, and industry events and is expected to have over 70,000 domestic and global visitors.

Leading humanoid robot companies like Unitree Robotics, EngineAI, and AgiBot will show up at the intelligent robot exhibition area, demonstrating the full spectrum from fundamental technologies to user-end applications in the electronic information industry.
