HONG KONG – The 27th Shenzhen International Medical Tourism Fair will kick off at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Thursday.
Integrating “medical tourism” with “functional medicine,” the three-day event will cover the entire life-cycle of healthcare services – from prevention and treatment to rehabilitation.
The exhibition features over 300 international hospitals and enterprises across various sectors, including cross-border medical care, assisted reproduction, precision medical checkups and regenerative medicine, anticipating to attract over 25,000 professional visitors.
Concurrently, more than 100 high-level forums will gather over 1,000 experts to explore cutting-edge medical trends and facilitate global industry cooperation.
Films for children
As a highlight of the 3rd Macao International Children's Arts Festival, an international children's film festival, which is underway from Friday, will run through July 26 under the theme of “Growth, Communication, and Heritage.”
Featuring around 30 highly engaging and educational titles, the film festival opened with the Hong Kong classic My Life as McDull and the Macao production short On His Back.
Families can enjoy the “Where Culture Flourishes, Happiness Happens – Open-air Screenings” at Iao Hon Market Park on Saturday, featuring the Cantonese-dubbed version of the Chinese mainland title Nobody and the Oscar-winning European movie Flow.
Additionally, a series of school screenings will treat teachers and students to beloved movies, including Encanto, Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape and The Sheep Detectives during the summer break.
Electric power
Staged amidst a sharp rise in power consumption fueled by soaring global AI compute demands, the 2026 Electric Power & Energy Storage Asia exhibition will convene at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou on Thursday.
Under the theme of “Digital Smart Energy, Driving the Future”, the three-day event will showcase new technologies and innovative industrial achievements across electrical engineering equipment, new power systems, digital power grids, clean energy, energy storage technologies and wires and cables.
EPES 2026, which aims to connect manufacturers and end customers, expects to attract 800 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors.
