HONG KONG – The Asian Financial Forum is returning to Hong Kong on Monday, bringing together global leaders from government, finance, and business to exchange insights on the world economy through an Asian lens.
Under the theme “Co-creating New Horizons Amid an Evolving Landscape”, the two-day forum has invited over 140 influential speakers and is expecting over 3,600 participants from more than 60 countries and regions.
Set to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, it will be the region’s first major international financial event this year.
Ready for holiday?
The Hong Kong Holiday and Travel Expo 2026 will be held from Jan 29 to Feb 1 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering the public the latest airfare and hotel deals as well as exclusive tour and cruise promotions.
More than 50 travel-themed seminars and live performances will be featured during the event, including a brand-new interactive event — the “King of suitcase race”.
Over 5,700 prizes with a total value exceeding HK$300,000 ($38,470) will be distributed during the fair. Visitors also have a chance to get free overseas SIM cards at the venue.
Robotics innovation
The 2026 Dongguan Robotics Industry Conference and the annual member meeting of the organizer, Dongguan Robotics Industry Association, will be held on Saturday.
More than 500 companies from the entire robotics industry chain, such as robot manufacturers and smart vehicle producers, are set to showcase their latest applications at the event.
Technical sharing will be the top priority of the event, with renowned experts, industry leaders and university representatives discussing robotics trends, technological advances, and multi-scenario applications.
The event will also feature an exhibition zone where leading firms will display their products and case studies, offering a platform for industry resource exchange and business matching.
E-commerce summit
Guangzhou will host a major e-commerce summit at the Guangzhou International Medical Port from Jan 29 to 30.
More than 30 leading domestic and international platforms, brands across beauty, apparel and home appliances, over 200 top live-streaming sellers and social media influencers, as well as multi-channel network agencies and professionals from other sectors are expected to attend the summit.
Besides releasing an industry report on brand competitiveness, the event will feature keynote speeches and roundtable discussions where marketing experts and entrepreneurs from well-known companies will share practical experience on topics such as innovation in gold jewelry and fashion, and online traffic growth.
Aimed at strengthening the full e-commerce chain in southern China, the event will also provide a platform for networking among stakeholders.
