HONG KONG – HK SciFest 2025, Hong Kong’s flagship science promotion event, which kicked off on Friday, will run till Apr 27 under the theme of "Local Contributions in Science", at the Hong Kong Science Museum.

Joining hands with over 50 partners, this year’s event provides more than 100 exciting science programs, including workshops, lectures, seminars, film screenings, and site visits.

The ground floor Exhibition Hall of the museum will be transformed into a "Science Bazaar" on weekends and public holidays during the festival, and feature activity booths with hands-on science demonstrations and mini-exhibitions.

Next-gen fashion showcase

NEXT@Fashion InStyle, providing an all-in-one sourcing platform for the fashion supply chain, will debut on April 27 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This innovative space bridges cutting-edge materials with fashion design, demonstrating how sustainable technologies can transform into tomorrow’s styles.

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the four-day showcase will feature over 60 next-gen materials suppliers alongside renowned designers creating visionary garments from these revolutionary textiles. Self Portrait founder Han Chong serves as ambassador for the initiative.

The zone will host about 400 exhibitors spanning textiles, fashion technology, sustainable solutions, seasonal apparel, accessories and industry partners.

Macao hosts major tennis, tourism events

The International Table Tennis Federation Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025 kicked off in Macao on Monday and will run through Sunday. Forty-eight top-ranked players from all over the world are contesting in 13 sessions for total 1,500 world ranking points.

The city will also host the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo from April 25 to 27 at Venetian Macao.

There will be about 1,501 booths, including 320 in the mainland pavilion, and 324 from the international pavilion, with over 40,000 on-site spectators expected. Organizers also expect over seven million online viewers for the event.
